Internet & Parent Communication

I think that the Internet is a huge help to bridge any communication gap between parents, teachers, and students.  The Internet allows the teacher several ways to try to communicate by posting a newsletter to the website, posting announcements on the website, e-mailing directly to the parents, and sending home hard copies of the newsletter.  I know from previous work experience that communicating to a large group of people takes a lot of effort.  You will have to try several different mediums to try to communicate one piece of information to a large group in order for the majority to have received it.  It's another challenge in order to have the people read the information you sent them.  The publication should be professional, be aesthetically pleasing, and easy to interpret.  In such a busy world, it is essential for teachers to be able to think of all the ways that could make communicating the easiest for all parents.

On another note, I feel like I should be able to get everything finished by the end of this week for Ed Tech.  I really enjoyed this particular class.  I was able to get things set up for my future classroom.  Although I think I had a lot of previous background knowledge, I tried to extend the activities to challenge myself and improve my skills.
